Dr. Yanina Benikova is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician in Oregon and Washington. For many years she has actively practiced medicine in the United States and has a special interest in the Adoption Medicine.
Before coming to the United States Dr. Benikova practiced Pediatrics in a number of clinics and hospitals in Russia and Ukraine. She also had experience providing medical care to orphanages. Dr. Benikova is extremely familiar with the medical system and medical culture in Russia and Ukraine, has in-depth knowledge of medical terminology and standards of medical records. Practicing medicine both in the United States and Russia/Ukraine, Dr. Benikova has a unique ability to look on child's medical history from the prospective of the practicing American physician, at the same time being able to understand the point of view of the Russian/Ukrainian Pediatrician.
Dr. Benikova reads adoption medical records in their original language whenever possible. That eliminates translation inaccuracies or omissions that can significantly distort a child's medical history. Being proficient in Russian/Ukrainian languages, Dr. Benikova also can contact an orphanage Pediatrician directly to get additional information on problems that require further clarification. She can provide professional medical evaluation in real-time over the phone while you are in Russia or Ukraine, potentially while you are still at the orphanage.
Dr. Nataliy Belova, M.D.,Ph.D. is a prominent Russian Pediatrician. She resides in Moscow and specializes in Adoption Medicine. Dr. Belova is a Designated Medical Practioner for Canada. (Adoption Program) and speaks fluent English. Dr. Belova is well known as one of a few Russian doctors who provide professional adoption medical services in Russia.
Dr. Belova provides medical examinations in Moscow or can travel to local orphanages to conduct a medical exam. She also does Review of Medical Summaries and if your adoptive child is in need of additional tests, can recommend or order laboratory services. She has helped many families from the United States and Canada to understand medical aspects of Russian adoption.
Dr. Yelena Benikov, M.D. Ph.D. is a well-known Ukrainian physician with many years of experience in Pediatrics. She was the Chief Pediatrician-Endocrinologist of the Ministry of Public Health of the Ukraine. Dr. Benikov has many years of experience working with orphan children in Russia and Ukraine and has first hand knowledge of orphans' medical problems. She is fluent in English, Russian and Ukrainian. Dr. Benikov is a Certified Russian/English translator.
